Homeward Bound

So, the process has begun for kitten and I to begin our new life together back in New England. Let me fill you in if you don’t already know. And if you did know, that’s just kinda creepy. Stop stalking me.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Lived there 51 years of my life. All over the place. Mostly Natick, MA. Lived in Concord, Marlborough, Malden, Framingham. Until one fateful night back in early 2018 I came across online the most beautiful face I had ever seen, My kitten of course. Had to talk to her. No matter what the outcome would be. Well, that outcome became me moving to California in October 2018 and marrying her February of 2019. I think it worked out beyond quite well.

Well, after 2 and a half years here, kitten and I have decided to pack up, sell the house and move to New England. Probably New Hampshire, possibly Massachusetts. Where ever we can find just the right home for us. Don’t get me wrong, I have grown to love Northern California. I have met some unforgettable people in my time here. But after a few years of wildfire evacuations and also the cost of living compared to back East? It’s time for a change. Well, it won’t be much of a shock to me, but my little one is a native Californian and has never been to New Hampshire and has spent only a quick week in Mass. It’s going to be a big wonderful change for her. I honestly have no fears that she won’t fall in love with it.

There will certainly be an adjustment for her weather wise for sure. Winters back East can be harsh, cruel and long. Luckily, she doesn’t have to leave the house for work, and it’s a Hell of an excuse to buy lots more fur!! (You may want to read my Fur Fetish post..lol)

Besides a better cost of living in general, we will also be close to my brother and sister who I haven’t seen since I’ve been out West. And they haven’t met my wife yet. Looking forward to that big time.

There are so many little things I have missed being out here that I look forward to seeing/doing when we get back East. A Red Sox game at Fenway. A stroll with kitten through Faneuil Hall, a trip over to Boston’s North End (slice of Regina’s pizza of course), picnic at the South Natick waterfall, A Casey’s hot dog, maybe a Pops concert in the Summer out at Tanglewood. I have so many things I want to show her from my life from before we met. Hope they bring as much joy to her as they did me all those years. Can’t wait to take her up north and show her the Mount Washington Valley area. Spent many a day hiking, climbing, canoeing and shopping around there.

Well, the move is going to happen this Summer sometime. As soon as humanly possible. I’m really looking forward to this new chapter of our life together.

Thanks for tuning in. Have a great day all

Bullshit in TV Land

So, it’s no secret to anyone that knows me, that I am a TV junkie. Yep. Always have been since I was a wee lad. I mean come on, TV educates, informs, keeps us up to date on world events, teaches kids their ABC’s and kept them glued to and quiet for hours watching Bugs Bunny, gives us endless hours of the wonderful world of sports. You can get an 21 in one adjustable wrench tool gizmo thingy for the low price of $19.95 plus shipping and handling, but wait! Call now and get a second on free. Just pay additional shipping. Many of us developed our first crushes on TV. The list is endless. Yes, I am the guys that when it comes to TV trivia, I’ll make your head spin.

So, in my recent years I have been a huge fan of Food Network. I watch it probably more than I should. My Mom never understood the attraction to it. “Why would you want to watch people eat?” she once said. LOL! She may have had a point. But regardless, I love it. Can’t help myself.

The wife and I have a pretty decent amount of channels on our cable package. Not the top of the line by any means, but more than we could ever watch. Food Network, HGTV and History channel are a few of our “go to” channels. All included in our package. Cool right? Hold on to your hats and follow this.

It seems that Food Network, HGTV and a few others are taking some of their best programs and switching them over to another all inclusive network called “Discovery Plus”. Which, on top of your regular already outrageous cable bill starts at another $ 4.99 a month. Sounds like peanuts, right? Well hear me out. This is where I get profoundly pissed off.

Um. we are in a world wide shut down. Quarantine, situation for the last year now. People with little to no other form of entertainment outside of TV. Businesses shutting down and people losing jobs and sources of income in staggering numbers. And these, pardon my French, fucking vultures at the Discovery network want to totally swoop down and ass rape the general public by asking for MORE money???? Your timing could not be worse and I could not be more ashamed and disgusted with your network for launching this program at this time. This is such a nut slap to the code of business ethics in my opinion. How dare you.

Well, that’s just one mans opinion I guess. Would love to hear some feed back. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Have a wonderful day people. Fight the power.

The Singing Vag…

Ok then…Got your attention?? Yep, the singing vagina, The Harmonizing hair pie, The Operatic orifice, The Pussy Pavorati…Need I go on?

Today kitten and I saw a commercial Femiclear…Some sort of lady part Simonizing kit…I have no idea. The commercial was two women in a Yoga class..When one of them did any position where in fact her legs spread open? You heard this little voice belt out a lovely note…Charming right? I literally looked at kitten and said “WHAT FUKING PLANET AM I ON???” The laughter was just twisted and beyond words…

My main question is…What twisted fuck in Femiclear’s marketing department came up with the slogan “Joie de Hooha”….

Something to ponder….

Superman on Aging.

So, let me tell you a story..

I was always slightly super human..lol..Most of my life I was rarely ill, I didn’t feel physical pain like mere mortals despite a few horrific injuries and mediacl procedures..Yes, I made a dentist sick and applaud when he did surgery on my mouth with no Anesthesia..I could party like a rock star and work on no sleep.Energy beyond words…

THEN??? I hit 50…Yep..I did..It was bound to happen, right? Now don’t get me wrong..I still am quite a physical specimen..I still have all my hair.Thank God.I only need glasses to read….I work harder than half the people I know that are half my age..But there are little things creeping uninvited into my world.

My metabolism has slowed of course. Not a lot, but I certainly have more in the belly region then I am used to. I have a real Doctor now…Even an allergist! Had my first kidney stone recently…Still have it.

I have to think now about how badly I need something if it involves a flight of stairs. When I drop something I swear the floor gets farther away every passing month. And yes, for the first time ever…I have in fact gotten up to pee in the middle of the night..Dreadful…There is Metamucil in my home..

I always knew these days were coming, but like anyone, you wish they were much further off..

I still feel like a young spirit inside, and probably always will..It’s just funny..Binge drinking and Hot wing eating contests just aren’t as appealing as they once were…Quiet dinner at home with my kitten, TV and an afternoon nap are how I really enjoy rocking it now…

As far as my overall life at this age go though? Thanks to my wonderful wife I wouldn’t change my age for anything ever…

Thanks all!

Philly’s New Sweater.

Ok, going to share with you something. Yes, I am a Daddy, Yes I am a pretty fearless individual…lol…But even I have my “little” thing. Not that I am a “little”, but something in my life sure is.

Let me introduce you to my buddy Philly. Philly is a teddy bear. Yep. The greatest teddy bear ever.

Philly came into my life around 1995. I was living in Massachusetts and was at a week long convention in Philadelphia, PA. I was in a strange city..I knew no one. I know it was only a week, but when I wasn’t at the convention center, I found myself bored and sad sometimes.

One day at the Convention center I was passing a little souvenir stand. I saw this bear in the glass case. For some reason he made me smile. He seemed to have a bit of a bratty but cute face. I asked the little old lady how much? She said “Oh he has been with me for a long time..But if you’ll give him a good home? Six dollars would be fine” DONE DEAL!!!

I took him back to my hotel and got him ready for the five hour drive back to Boston the next morning..Yes, I talked to him..Still do…lol

Philly and I have been through a lot of good times and some very bad times together. I know it sounds silly for someone like me to grow this attached to a stuffed bear, but hey, that’s your opinion..He is a friend and a sounding board when needed. We have each others backs.. 😉

Philly came dressed in a bow tie and a Philadelphia T-shirt. Over the years I have found other shirts so he can change clothes now and then so he doesn’t get all funky and gross and I can do his laundry! Hahahahaha…

Well, today..My amazing wife and kitten..Took it upon herself to make Philly a brand new sweater!!! I absolutely LOVE it and I love her so much…Philly is one handsome dude and a sharp dresser…

Thanks for stopping by!

KODAK Digital Still Camera

Now I’ve heard it all…

Seriously? You want to cancel your hotel reservation and be refunded because your room isn’t big enough to assemble your bicycle? by all means and I will pass this on to the owners so when designing future buildings they will have ample space for all their luggage, a bicycle assembly area and why the fuck not put in an area for shoeing a horse while we’re at it!!! You know, for our Amish patrons…

This is about as good as the guest wanting a refund for getting stuck in the elevator for an hour…In a hotel with no elevator…

Daddy’s Fur

Ok no secret to those that know kitten and I that we have a huge fur fetish.Fox, Lynx, Bobcat, Raccoon, Wolf, Coyote, Mink, Sable…All just to die for…But when push comes to shove? What is MY kittens favorite?? Daddy’s fur!! On his belly! So many times, I will be walking by her shirtless and she will put her arms out sitting in the chair and pulls me in to rub my belly fur with her hands for a bit and then rub her face all over it! She loves all my fur, but the tummy seems to be her favorite.

She just rubes her head and face all over it and goes into such a peaceful place..I can see it in her eyes as I look down at her and give her a huge loving smile and stroke her hair and hold her little face in my hand..Gotta say, I love it too…
